Daffodils

About the plants that are shooting up in the yard, this is  what they  look like when they bloom.  My sister told me that they are  Daffodils.  They’re all over the yard and I’ve been told that I’ll have to bug Kenny about not mowing them down. 🙂

I just received my yearly update.  Luckily I bought the townhouse back in 1998.  The value shot up to $300K years ago and now it is down to $79K.  I do hope that it has now finally bottomed out.  If I had to sell it now, I would break even.  I feel so bad for the people that bought their homes just a few years ago and are now at the point were their loan balance is twice as high as the value of their home.  No wonder many of those unfortunate folks are packing up and leaving their homes behind.
I received an invoice from our lawyer the other day.  He needs 2K to continue to collect the monies owed to us by the builder that we used to work for.  I beginning to feel like a caged animal with no way out!  This totally sucks!  I need some REALLY good news to get myself out of the gloomy mood today!

  1. Its the same over here for a lot of people. We bought this old place nearly 20 years ago for 165 000, it went up to a near million(the taxes are shite) and now its leveled at 700 000, trust me, its not worth it, just a little old house on a little old acreage. Its this damn valley I live in…People are losing huge all over the place with their castles now worth half what they were a coupla years ago. I feel for them too.Ain't it just grand when you have to pay someone to get the money thats rightfully yours? That sucks, darlin', I hope you get that good news today.Oh, and the bruises will stay a while, I bruise easy, and then I hang to em'.

  2. Wow…how come property values are going down? That sounds like a terrible situation.I hope something good happens soon to lift the gloom. If all those daffodils start popping up that should do the trick. They are such sunny, happy flowers. Someone must have planted bulbs round your place at some time for them to be coming up like that.

  3. Rose…yep, it's a sad situation. Hopefully it will get better soon. Talking about bruising … Many years ago I was doing something on a ladder in the store I was managing and I almost fell down. Luckily a customer was nearby and he kept me from falling. Hours later I had a perfect hand print on my hip causing a major war at home. My ex didn't believe me when I told him what happened. Not so happy times!Gypsy….our economy went to hell. This kind of thing is happening all over the country.Kenny's grandmother planted the flowers many, many years ago and they keep coming back every spring. Yes, they are sunny, happy flowers. I wish they would bloom all year. 🙂
